| The regular club runs on Saturday and Sunday mornings were complemented during the long light evenings by club member participation in 10-, 15-, and 25-mile time trials. Since the club does not have its own approved 10-mile time trial course, the club encourages members to compete in the 10-mile time trials that are organised by Ashford Wheelers
on most Wednesday evenings between mid-April and end of August. Between May and July, several longer time trials are conducted (i.e. two 25-mile rides and one at 23 miles) by Ashford Wheelers.
The 10-mile time trials were held on any one of three possible courses: the Q10/38 course (Great Chart lay-by on the A28, south-west to the Woodchurch turn-off, south, then east and north-east to Shadoxhurst and Stubbs Cross, and return towards the A28); the Q10/32 course (Blue and White Café at Smeeth on the A20, south-east to Newingreen and the first roundabout on the A20, and then back towards Smeeth); the Q10/10 course (Bull Lane Bethersden about 1 mile west of A28, east to the A28, then north-east along the A28 to the first roundabout at Singleton, then back on the A28 to the sports field at Bethersden).
The 25-mile time trials were held on one of two possible courses, namely the Q25/8 (from Molash north-east to Chilham on the A252, then north on the A28 towards Canterbury, turning at the first roundabout, to return on the A28 to Ashford, turning at the first roundabout, and then return to Chilham), or the Q25/1 (from Bull Lane Bethersden west towards Smarden, then south-west to the A274 and Biddenden, south and east on the A262 to the A28, then the A28 north-east to the Ashford and the Singleton roundabout, then back along the A28 to High Halden). One 23-mile time trial was held during the season on QS/23 (lay-by on Ashford side of Bethersden, south-west on the A28 to St Michaels and Tenterden, then east on the B2067 to Hamstreet, there turning north to the cross roads north of Bromley green, then west and north-west through Stubb's Cross to the A28, and south-west to the start point). | Date in 2003 | Event & Course | TRC
