Richard Foster’s Ride Across Britain

Richard Foster’s Ride Across Britain

I'm planning to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End in June 2011. Its about a 1,000 miles and I hope to complete the challenge in 9 days. I've been training, but it won't be easy. Contrary to popular belief it’s not all down hill when you're cycling from top to bottom; in fact its generally considered tougher, as the prevailing winds are south westerly.

I'm supporting Pilgrims Hospices In East Kent and the British Paralympic Association.

Pilgrims Hospices is a local charity providing specialist palliative care free of charge to people in east Kent. They care for people with illnesses that can not be cured including cancer, heart failure, respiratory conditions and neurological diseases.

The British Paralympic Association (BPA) is a registered charity which is responsible for selecting, preparing, entering, funding and managing Britain s teams at the Paralympic Games and Paralympic Winter Games. They are the official charity of the Deloitte ‘Ride Across Britain’ event.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I would really appreciate your support and thank you for any donations.
